Preserving the Literature of the Jews of Maghreb (North Africa)

Two sessions based on the research of Craig Lewis on his Rabbinic Thesis

Join Craig as he explores the interesting twists and turns of the culture of a Jewish community that has moved on to other places. Some of his work is original translation from the French. Hear about Craig's very interesting journey into Judaism of a time and place now gone.

Shabbat Morning Torah Study

Each week we look at the Torah portion with an eye toward contemporary meaning. Join us for coffee, conversation and study. No previous experience expected.

Saturdays at 9:30am. 


Let's Read The Bible

We're still in Genesis, but we're having a good time! Join us on alternating Thursday mornings as we read each word of the Bible. We started at Genesis I and are in no hurry. It is never too late to join us-and we'd love your perspective!

    For those who can read the Hebrew alphabet haltingly.

    For those who can read more fluently and have some basic prayer book vocabulary.

    For those who can read well and are familiar with basics of Hebrew grammar.
